Questions Homeowners Ask Most
Start here for the questions that most often come up before scheduling.
How long will my carpet take to dry?
Most carpet dries within approximately 6–12 hours. Drying time varies based on humidity, airflow, carpet thickness, soil level, and treatment requirements. Ceiling fans, air conditioning, and improved airflow can help.
Can you remove every stain?
No professional cleaner can guarantee every stain will disappear. Many spots respond very well, but permanent discoloration, dye loss, bleach damage, rust, older stains, and fiber damage may remain.
Do you move furniture?
Certain lightweight furniture may be moved when it is safe and practical. Beds, entertainment centers, pianos, large dressers, electronics, fragile pieces, and oversized items generally remain in place.
Can I text photos for a quote?
Yes. Text clear photos, basic measurements, your city, and a description of stains, odors, pet issues, or other concerns to
(480) 331-9135.
What areas does LionGuard serve?
LionGuard serves Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Queen Creek, Apache Junction, Tempe, Scottsdale, Phoenix, and surrounding East Valley communities.
Service Questions
Carpet Cleaning
Preparation, drying, stain expectations, pet treatments, furniture, and aftercare.
Do I need to vacuum before my appointment?
Vacuuming beforehand is appreciated whenever possible. Removing loose hair, dust, crumbs, and debris allows more appointment time to be focused on embedded soil, spots, and deep cleaning.
Do you treat pet stains and odors?
Yes. Pet treatments are available based on the severity and location of contamination. Problems that have reached the backing, padding, subfloor, or surrounding materials may require more extensive treatment, and complete odor removal cannot always be guaranteed.
Can I walk on the carpet after cleaning?
Light foot traffic is generally fine when necessary, but minimizing traffic until the carpet dries is best. Wear clean socks or clean indoor footwear and use caution when stepping from damp carpet onto hard flooring.
Service Questions
Tile & Grout Cleaning
Why grout becomes discolored and what professional cleaning can realistically accomplish.
Why doesn’t regular mopping fully clean my grout?
Grout is porous and can hold soil, grease, residue, and cleaning-product buildup beneath the surface. Mopping may also move dirty water into the grout lines. Professional cleaning uses specialized solutions, agitation, pressure, rinsing, and extraction.
Will my grout look brand new?
Cleaning can create a dramatic improvement, but results depend on age, condition, original color, previous products, and permanent staining or damage. Cracked, bleached, deteriorated, or permanently discolored grout may not return to its original appearance.
What tiled areas can you clean?
Common areas include kitchens, bathrooms, entryways, hallways, laundry rooms, living areas, and other accessible tiled spaces. The material and condition are evaluated before cleaning begins.
Service Questions
Upholstery Cleaning
Furniture types, fabric evaluation, cleaning limitations, and drying expectations.
What types of furniture do you clean?
We clean many common household upholstered items, including sofas, sectionals, loveseats, recliners, dining chairs, accent chairs, and ottomans. Send a photo for an initial evaluation and quote.
Is every type of upholstery safe to clean?
No. Fabrics require different methods. We inspect the material, review available manufacturer information, and consider its condition. Cleaning may be declined when there is an unreasonable risk of bleeding, shrinkage, texture change, or other damage.
How long does upholstery take to dry?
Many items dry within several hours, but drying depends on the fabric, cushion construction, treatment level, airflow, and humidity. Avoid using the furniture until it is sufficiently dry.
Service Questions
Area Rug Cleaning
Rug eligibility, quote requirements, specialty materials, stains, and odor concerns.
Can you clean area rugs?
We clean many common synthetic household rugs. Construction, fiber type, backing, dyes, condition, and care instructions must be considered. Delicate, handmade, antique, wool, natural-fiber, or specialty rugs may require a dedicated rug-cleaning facility.
What do you need to provide a rug quote?
Send clear photos of the front and backing, approximate length and width, the material if known, and a description of stains, odors, pet issues, or other concerns.
Do you guarantee stain or odor removal from rugs?
Complete removal cannot be guaranteed. Results depend on the material, construction, age, prior treatments, contamination depth, and whether permanent dye or fiber damage has occurred.
Before Your Visit
Scheduling and Appointments
Appointment length, preparation, access, payments, service areas, and schedule changes.
How long does a typical appointment take?
Many residential appointments take approximately 1–4 hours. Actual time depends on the service, number and size of areas, soil level, stains, treatments, accessibility, and drying setup.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Remove small belongings, toys, clothing, cords, fragile items, and valuables. Secure pets away from the work area, provide access, and identify stains or concerns you want evaluated.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
Not necessarily, but an authorized adult should be present or reachable when the work is reviewed and approved. Access, payment, pets, security systems, and special instructions should be arranged beforehand.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Common payment methods are accepted, and payment is generally due when service is completed unless another arrangement was approved in advance. Commercial customers may have separate written terms.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please call or text as soon as possible so the schedule can be adjusted and the appointment time may be offered to another customer.
